Innovative Trials appoints first Commercial Vice President to drive business growth worldwide

Wednesday 5th April 2023

Innovative Trials, a globally-focused company specializing in clinical trial patient recruitment, retention and engagement, has appointed Eloise Moffett to drive forward commercial activity in the US and beyond. The appointment is part of the company’s business strategy to increase its client base globally, particularly in the US following the successful launch of its North Carolina office in 2022.

As its new Vice President of Commercial, Moffett will lead Innovative Trials’ Business Development, Proposals and Contracts and Marketing and Communications teams to raise the profile of the company, build its global sales division and deliver new commercial opportunities in clinical trial markets worldwide.

Moffett has more than 20 years’ experience in business development, of which the last five-and-a-half have been spent specializing in clinical trial patient retention. She is also an award-winning leader, inspiring her teams to bring in new business through commercial awareness and build strong, long-term relationships with clients.

Speaking about her appointment, Eloise Moffett said: “Innovative Trials is an exceptional company and I look forward to playing a key role in its continued growth. I was drawn to the company because, having spent more than five years focusing on retention and the patient mindset during a trial, I became increasingly interested in understanding the patient perspective from the pre-enrollment stage onwards and the process by which sites recruit to their trials. Putting participants and their needs at the heart of clinical research from the very beginning is vital to achieving the best outcomes.

“Innovative Trials is leading the way in understanding what participants and sites need from the earliest stages of a trial and utilizing this knowledge to drive their approach, develop their offering, improve patient diversity, support Sponsors, sites and trial participants, and ultimately accelerate access to potentially life-changing therapies. I honestly have not seen another company do it better.” Based in Orlando, Florida, Moffett is the first senior leadership appointment by Innovative Trials in the US.

Kate Shaw, co-founder and CEO of Innovative Trials, said: “I am delighted to welcome Eloise to the Innovative Trials family. She brings a wealth of proven experience to the table with a unique perspective that will help us break into the US clinical trials market even further as well as establish the company as a force to be reckoned with in the global field of clinical trial patient recruitment and retention. By leading and driving our commercial team, Eloise will play a pivotal role for Innovative Trials during exciting times with the launch of the new Patient Navigator service”

Moffett added: “I am excited to be bringing my skills and expertise to the Innovative Trials team. My aim is to be as successful in patient recruitment, site enrollment and optimization and community outreach as I was in clinical trial participant retention, and to bring together an already high-performing commercial team to be the best in the industry. Watch this space!
