Innovative Trials shortlisted for prestigious British Business Excellence Award

Innovative Trials, a global company specialising in clinical trial patient recruitment, retention and engagement, has been announced as a finalist in the Gateley Business Transformation of the Year category of the Lloyd’s Bank British Business Excellence Awards.

Headquartered in the Hertfordshire town of Letchworth Garden City, the company works with major pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, and Clinical Research Organisations (CROs) to help accelerate clinical research and enable patients to benefit from life-changing treatments more quickly. Since its inception in 2010, Innovative Trials has become an international force to be reckoned with in the field of clinical trial patient recruitment, with a second base in the US and more than 70 specialists situated across the globe.

The British Business Excellence Awards is the elite business awards programme for businesses of all shapes and sizes. The awards host a year-long programme of networking events, round tables and exemplary judging processes, all of which will then culminate in a spectacular awards ceremony on Tuesday 14 November 2023 at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London.

Kate Shaw, CEO of Innovative Trials, said: “We are over the moon to be named as a finalist for such a coveted business award. Our success is largely due to our continued focus on people – building solid relationships with our clients, those that we recruit into clinical trials and our own staff. Every member of our team believes in what we are doing and works hard to ensure we are responsive to people’s needs so that everyone feels heard, valued and engaged.

“Our approach has seen us transform the systems we use internally and expand the services we provide to ensure we are always delivering the best experience for our clients and can grow our market presence. Over the last 18 months, we have also opened our first international office in the US and increased our client pipeline through the recruitment of our first Vice President of Commercial based in the US and other operational staff in both the UK and the US.

“It’s in our DNA to strive to be the best and we would very much like to win the Gateley Business Transformation of the Year category at the British Business Excellence Awards, but recognise that we face stiff competition. We are looking forward to celebrating the achievements of every business shortlisted at the award ceremony later this year.”

Sarah Austin, Founder & Director of the Lloyds Bank British Business Excellence Awards, commented on the announcement: “As the UK’s unrivalled celebration of business brilliance, resilience, and innovation – the Lloyds Bank British Business Excellence Awards takes centre stage – and this year is no exception. The anticipation is electrifying as we gear up for the grand event at the glamorous Grosvenor Hotel.

“Our excitement levels have hit the roof as we’ve witnessed a spectacular level of submissions across a wide range of dynamic industries – but with a real trend across the energy, recruitment, wellbeing, food & drink, and tech sectors, highlighting just how much the UK business landscape is thriving.

“Kudos to each and every finalist who has made the shortlist – your entries have truly left us in awe of your extraordinary talent and dedication, setting the bar high for what it means to be a champion in the business world. You’ve made us stand up and take notice, and we can’t wait to celebrate your remarkable achievements.”
