Innovative Trials shortlisted for pharmaceutical excellence award

Innovative Trials, a global company specializing in clinical trial patient recruitment and retention, has been named as a finalist for an award that recognizes exceptional business practice within the pharmaceutical sector to improve patient outcomes. The company, which works with a growing roster of world-leading pharmaceutical organizations, is shortlisted for Support Agency of the Year at the annual PMEA industry awards.

The PMEA award programme is an annual event to recognize and celebrate excellence across the pharmaceutical sector in improving patient care and outcomes. Winners will be announced on Wednesday 22 November 2023.

Kate Shaw, founder and CEO of Innovative Trials, said: “Being recognized by industry peers is a real honor and I think highlights the real and obvious difference we are making to accelerate patient access to potentially life-changing medicines. We are looking forward to the awards night next month and celebrating the achievements of all the PMEA finalists.”

With a focus on building recruitment and engagement strategies around the needs and experiences of different patient populations and employing a global ‘boots on the ground’ approach, Innovative Trials has established itself as a leader in clinical trial patient recruitment and retention.

Shaw said: “Since our inception in 2010, we have worked strategically with our pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical clients to recruit thousands of people into hundreds of clinical trials spanning over 90 different medical conditions. We have contributed to around 15 new treatments being brought to market so far, but we are always looking at how we can improve our offering so that we continue to deliver the best value to our clients and the best outcomes for patients.”

Innovative Trials employs around 75 people at its Hertfordshire HQ in the UK and a further 65 clinical experts stationed overseas in around 70 countries to ensure clinical trial recruitment is personalized according to each country’s culture, population demographic, and health system.

In 2022, following a period of sustained growth, Innovative Trials expanded its reach by opening a new US office. Located in the ‘Research Triangle’ in Raleigh, North Carolina, the base is already facilitating new business opportunities in the US clinical trials market.

Earlier this year, the company recruited its first Vice President of Commercial to expand its client base further and just this month launched its first-of-its-kind Navigator service, heralded as a revolutionary patient-facing support service to boost recruitment and retention.
